Miami Art Online

Gallery Walk is a social experience that take place on the second Saturday of each month. The next one is March 8th and will feature a wide range of artist endeavors. Most of the work is contemporary painting, with a few pieces of sculpture, and some innovative styles like Steve Martin’s wire art.

All of the galleries in the Miami Design District and Wynwood Art District will be open, with many of them using the occasion to introduce a new exhibition that will run for the remainder of the month.

Some of the art galleries chose to project a subdued or refined image with a classical pianist, while others are more aggressive, featuring a DJ, or even a band. Galleries like Papaloko’s Jakmel Art Gallery and Cultural Center become a club with art for the night.

That’s the unique character of Miami’s art industry. If you’d like to see a few of of the area’s art galleries and meet a couple of  artists, take a look at Miami Art Online.

So far, videos for Art Fusion, Lurie Fine Art and the Steve Martin Gallery are online, along with Elite Art Editions and Jakmel.

Check out our new internet radio program – Miami Art Online – beginning March 3rd at Noon on BlogTalkRadio.
